Barbara Di Renzo is a mixed media artist from Cambridge, Ontario. Her work is acrylic on canvas with colourful clean lines, blending and texturing. Barbara's unique contemporary paintings incorporate recycled metal, copper and aluminum which she sources from recycling plants and Habitat for Humanity. Her creativity and inspiration dictate how each piece of recycled metal will be painted, twisted, polished or bent into shape to complement her paintings.
Barbara, a graduate of Interior Decorating through ICS in Montreal, is a self-taught artist who was inspired by her father, Luciano Di Renzo, whose woodwork graces the Privy Council Office of the Parliament buildings and the private collection of Queen Elizabeth. As a child, Barbara’s home was always surrounded by furniture, carvings and beautiful paintings created by Luciano which led to her encouragement and love for art.
Barbara has unique and modern taste and enjoys aligning the recycled metal she uses on her paintings to the left of her artwork. This is her signature trademark and why she named her studio Left Align Design.
Barbara's artwork is available through her studio and the Adelaide Street Gallery in Barrie, Ontario. Her paintings are also available/featured at Uptown Gallery, The Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) and The People's Gallery in Waterloo. Barbara is also an in-house artist for the Galt Country Club in Cambridge and a member of the Greater Kitchener Waterloo Chamber of Commerce.
